Erma S. Hough

Erma Smallwood Hough, 90, of Ranson, West Virginia passed away May 13, 2021 at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, West Virginia.
Erma S. Hough was born Oct. 28, 1930 in Charles Town, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John Edgar Smallwood, Sr. and Emily Virginia Singhas Smallwood.
Mrs. Hough worked for 32 years as the Jefferson County Deputy Clerk, and after retirement she worked for Doug Rockwell, Attorney at Law, John Dorsey Attorney at Law, Walter Washington Attorney at Law and worked in the Jefferson County Assessors Office. She loved doing other people’s Taxes.
Erma was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed her puzzles, Crossword puzzles, Sudoku, playing solitaire. Passionate about her cooking.
Mrs. Hough is survived by her daughter; Emily Ann Michelle Viands of Ranson and her son; Calvin Christopher of Ranson, and a granddaughter; Mackenzie Lauren Viands of Ranson; and a brother; John E. Smallwood of Stephenson, Virginia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, late husband; Calvin C. Hough, Sisters; Charlotte Breeden, Juanita McAboy, and Myra Wise.
All services will be private.
