Patricia Estigoy

Patricia Estigoy, 80, of Martinsburg passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Berkeley Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born Oct. 26, 1940 in New York City, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Hamilton McDonald.

She received her RN degree from Queens General School of Nursing in New York; and a BA from Shepherd College (now University).

For more than 40 years she worked with her husband in his medical practice first, in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and then the Martinsburg-Shepherdstown offices. Her kindness compassion, and generosity were appreciated by all the patients and all her many friends.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Romulo J. Estigoy; siblings, Sister Dale McDonald, PBVM, John McDonald (Trumane), Thomas McDonald (Dr. Paula Ippolito); niece, Laura McDonald; nephews, John McDonald (Traci), Michael McDonald, and Andrew McDonald; grandniece, Mackenzie McDonald; and grandnephew, Blake McDonald.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the Brown Funeral Home. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu celebrant. Interment prayers were said 11 a.m. June 1, 2021 at Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers, NY.
