Frances L. Barron

Frances Louise Barron, 73, of Summit Point passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021 at Canterbury Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Born April 9, 1948, at home in Summit Point, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edward, Sr. and Nellie Mae Jenkins.

Louise is survived by one daughter, Kim Athey (Lee); and one son, Kevin Barron (Laurie) all of Summit Point; two grandchildren, Kyle and Carly; great granddaughter, Sutton; two sisters, Ruth Mills (Wally) and Peggy Noland (Dewey), and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne M. Barron (Sept. 9, 2019) to whom she was married to for 51 years; one brother, Roy E. Jenkins, Jr. of Charles Town, West Virginia.

Louise enjoyed working in her yard and in her flower gardens. She and Wayne loved attending weekend dances and cruise-ins when she was healthy.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose of Charles Town, West Virginia and the Eagles Club in Brunswick, MD.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton, Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. The family requests attendees wear a face covering.

Services will be private.
