Leo Myers Kisner Jr., 77, of Charles Town, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, in Reston Hospital.

Born July 9, 1943, in Charles Town, he was the son of Leo Sr. and Edna (Heironimus) Kisner and was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret “Marlene” Kisner. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Ann Kisner; his two daughters, Tara Kisner Hopfer and Natalie “Brooke” Kisner Hanshew; three grandchildren, Kaden, Camden, and Kathryn Hopfer and many extended relatives and lifelong friends.

Leo retired from Mack Truck and was a life-long Charles Town resident. He graduated from Charles Town High School and attended Shepherd College, where he was a member of the football team. He was also a member of the Charles Town Presbyterian Church.

Leo is remembered as being a loving brother, father, grandfather, cousin, and friend. He was known for his humorous personality, attentive listening skills and his love for Christmas and the Washington Football Team.

A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 at The Charles Town Presbyterian Church (220 East Washington Street) with John Bethard officiating.

Due to COVID-19, anyone planning to attend the service, must wear a mask to enter the church.
