Hossein “Henry” Sadeghzadeh

Hossein “Henry” Sadeghzadeh, 79, of Shepherdstown, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Dec. 16, 2021.

Hossein moved from Tehran, Iran to Washington, DC in the 60s. He made Martinsburg his home in the 70s and quickly became a cherished member of and business owner in this community. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and delicious food he served to many at Amy’s Los Amigos. In recent years, he extended his hospitality to friends and customers at Sara’s Place Bar and Grill.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mohammed Ali Sadeghzadeh and Sakineh Badami, his sister Soori Sadeghzadeh, his brother Mohsen Sadeghzadeh, and infant granddaughter Alivia Jean Liston.

He is survived by his wife Fatemeh Damghani-Noori; his daughters Amy Sadeghzadeh and husband Steven Steinmetz, Claire Sadeghzadeh and fiance Shane Butler, and Sarah Sadeghzadeh and husband Matt Liston; his sister Zahra Orozco; and grandchildren Oliver and Mara Steinmetz and Finnlee and Liam Liston.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Dec. 21, at Christ Reformed United Church of Christ followed by a private burial. Masks and spacing will be required.
