Betty R. Taylor

Betty R. Taylor, 98, passed away on Dec. 16, 2021, at Stonerise Berkeley Springs. She was a resident of Harmony at Martinsburg.

She was born June 22, 1923, in Clarksburg, WV to Willis and Lilly Roberts. A graduate of Kelly Miller HS and West Virginia State College, she taught elementary school in Jefferson County for over 30 years.

Betty was a devout Methodist and held memberships at John Wesley (Harpers Ferry), New Street (Shepherdstown), and Good Shepherd United Methodist (Woodbridge, VA) churches.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Lester L. Taylor and former spouse, Charles Pleasant I; daughter, Karen Booker of Woodbridge, VA; and son, Chuck Pleasant of Hyattsville, MD.

She is survived by son, Greg Pleasant and wife, Candy, of Martinsburg and nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Woodbridge, VA.
