Joshua T. Delaney

Joshua Thomas Delaney, 29, of Shepherdstown, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his home.
Born July 9, 1992 in Utica, New York, he was the son of Catherine Ann Delaney-Doss and husband , “step-dad” Scott Doss of Shepherdstown and Hai-Thanh Nguyen “Jimmy” of Albany, Georgia.
He graduated from Musselman High School and attended college. When he was younger, he played T Ball, baseball and was in cub scouts. He worked as a mechanic, he was a beloved cook at BJ’s restaurant in Hagerstown, Maryland and worked at the Auto Zone. While in school he was a wrestler, played inline hockey in Martinsburg, played on teams Rangers, Islanders, Coyotes and Red Wings. He was a referee for inline hockey. Joshua loved to cook, he was a self- trained chef, loved cars, the ocean, to help others and was a talented craftsman. He was quite the artist, drew all his tattoo’s he had on him. He was always devoted to his family, children, friends and pets.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughters, Vivienne Sophia and Celeste Ariana Delaney, grandmother, Anita Delaney of Gilbertsville, New York, siblings, Zackery, Vincent, Jade and Mechelle.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Thomas Michael Delaney, Sr. and uncle Thomas Michael Delaney, Jr.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Pastor Ernie Whitmer officiating. The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Friday and two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
