Stacy R. Huffman

Stacy Ray Huffman, age 52, of Maysville, WV, passed away on Jan. 25, 2022, at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. He was born on June 28, 1969, in Baltimore, MD, the son of the late Richard “Terry” Huffman and Cornelia “Connie” Mae (Sites) Huffman. Stacy married his loving wife, Laura Ann (Sholl) Huffman on June 11, 2005, who survives in Maysville.

Mr. Huffman was a 1987 graduate of Harman High School and went on to receive a degree in Dependent Care and Early Education, AAS and a B.S. in General Education from Shepherd College. Stacy proudly served our country in the United States Air Force for 6 years. Before moving to the Maysville area, he worked in Pre-K Education and as a Pre-K Bus Driver in Martinsburg & Shepherdstown, WV. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Petersburg, The Knights of Columbus in Inwood, WV, a dedicated farmer and avid fisherman. Stacy was also a supporter of children in foreign countries through many local charities as well as the Wounded Warrior Project.

In addition to his wife, Stacy leaves behind to cherish his memories: a daughter, Kate Eleanor Huffman of Maysville, WV; a son, Richard Paul Huffman of Maysville, WV; and a brother, Richard “Alan” Huffman of Elkins, WV; a special aunt, Tylyn Burgess (Dave) “Aunt Boo”. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia McDaniel.

Stacy’s family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at the Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV, with a prayer service conducted by Father Daniel Pisano.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30, at the Harman Presbyterian Church in Harman, WV, with Pastor Terry Weaver officiating. A blessing and presentation will be provided by the Knights of Columbus. Interment was in Cooper Cemetery in Harman, WV.
