Charlotte L. Rich

Charlotte L. Rich Charlotte Laura (Fizer) Rich, 84, of Martinsburg WV passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022.

Charlotte was born on June 17, 1937 to Dewey and Verna Fizer in Blue Creek, WV. She was one of 11 siblings.

Charlotte was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir along with many other activities.

She was an excellent seamstress as well as a wonderful cook and baker. She was well known for the special birthday cakes she made.

She was passionate about music, especially classical, and Broadway shows, with her favorites being Tchaikovsky, and Fiddler on the Roof accordingly.

She was employed by the City of Martinsburg first as a Dispatcher and then as the Cashier. She later went to work at Patterson’s Drug Store where she was well loved by everyone.

Charlotte is survived by one brother, Joe Fizer of Elkview West Virginia, daughter Jean Rich of Martinsburg, grandson Ryan Manford, of Martinsburg, grandaughter Grace Manford of Shepherdstown, many nieces and nephews, and so many wonderful friends.

All the lives she touched are too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by her son Edwin Rich in 1983, and husband William Rich in 2000.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
