Judith “Judy” Anne Stephens, 82 of Shepherdstown, WV went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 30, 2022, and two days later, on Feb. 1, 2022 her husband, David Eugene Stephens, 86, joined her.

Judy was born June 29, 1939 in Washington, DC and was the daughter of the late James Alexander Walker and Donyetta Smith Hall Walker.

She was retired from Dr. Jeffrey Kellogg’s office and previously worked in the office at Dixie-Narco.

David was born Sept. 18, 1935 in Shepherdstown, and was the son of the late Martin E. and Daisy M. Stephens.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving from 1955 until 1962, serving in the Air Police K-9 Unit, and seven years in the Air National Guard. He retired from Dixie-Narco after 27 years of service.

They were both members of Covenant Baptist Church in Shepherdstown, WV.

In addition to their parents, they were preceded in death by their beloved son-in-law, Tony Thomas and beloved niece, Nina Walker.

The family would like to thank Shepherdstown Fire and Rescue, Jefferson Medical Center, Ruby Memorial Hospital and Lincare, for their professional care and service. The family would also like to thank Vernon Crites and many others for their help. We would like to name everyone but the list would be long, so thank you to everyone involved.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1674, Shepherdstown, WV 25443 or to Animal Welfare of Jefferson County, P.O. Box 147, Charles Town, WV 25414.
