James C. Taylor

James Curtis Taylor, 55, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away April 20, 2022, at Berkeley Medical Center, due to complications from cancer.
Born on Feb. 13, 1967 in Halifax, North Carolina he was the son of the late James Henry Taylor and Evelyn Whitaker Coats.
James was the owner of T & T Detailing with his former spouse Twanda.
He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for many years. He was a member of the Brothers of Harmony Lodge #42 in Shepherdstown.
He is survived by one son, Tre’Sean Branch; seven daughters, Shan’Queatta Davis (Justin Wooodham Sr.), Evelyn McDonald, Jalyn Taylor, Teanna Branch, Keymarea Dawkins, Keshi Huntington and Jaquella Cherry (Turtle); three grandchildren, Jusiah Woodham, Justin Woodham Jr., and Charlotte Branch; seven brothers, Sammy Taylor and wife Darla, Marcell Starkes, Rameel Coats, Shamar Coats, Zephaniah Coats, Ted Coats and Dontavious Coats; one sister, Sandra Swan-Shearin and husband Jasper; and companion of James, Twyla Bunny; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gregory Leon Taylor.
A visitation for Mr. Taylor was held from 1-2 p.m., with the Funeral Service following the visitation, beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at S. Jones Funeral Home 115 South Dennis Street, Enfield, NC with the Rev. Jermaine Whitaker officiating.
There will also be a memorial service held at Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 615 W. Martin St., Martinsburg WV on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Dr. Sherman Lambert Sr.
The Interment will be private.
