Mary M. Downey

Mary Margaret Downey was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1940 and passed away Friday, April 22, 2022.

She was the daughter of the late Frank LeFevre Downey jr. and Mary Catherine Ropp of Faraway Farm in Spring Mills. Her three sisters preceded her in death.

Mary graduated from Martinsburg High school in 1958 and had two degrees from Shepherd College one in psychology and the other in nutrition. She leaves behind one daughter Marjorie M. Baer and a grandson Hugh A. Lockwood of Medway in Falling Waters, West Virginia.

Family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Brown Funeral Home.

Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town with Robert G. Downey officiating.
