Denise A. Ceravalo

Denise Alison Ceravalo, 50, of Charles Town, West Virginia passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2022 at her home.

She was born March 4, 1972 in Martinsburg, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Charles Staubs and Edna Lanehart Staubs.

She was of Christian faith.

Denise graduated Jefferson High School, Class of 1991, and she earned her Bachelors at Shepherd College, Class of 1995. She taught at both Blue Ridge Elementary and South Jefferson Elementary, with a total of 24 years of service with Jefferson County Schools.

Denise loved spending time with family and friends, welcoming anyone, and touching so many lives. She was an amazing cook, had a contagious laugh, loved singing and trips to the beach.

She is survived by her loving husband, Brian; daughter, Michaela Beth Ceravalo; son, Michael Dylan Ceravalo and wife, Katie; two step-daughters, Briana Harlee and Madison Raene Hogbin; five brothers, David (Tresa), Tim (Shirley), Gary (Barb), Dennis (Theresa) and Randy (Brenda) Staubs; one sister-in-law, Sue Staubs; former husband, Tony Andrew Ceravalo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas Staubs.

Services will be Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with the Rev. Dr. Brian Hotaling officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made out to South Jefferson Elementary, 4599 Summit Point Road, Charles Town, WV 25414.
