Glenn L.Twyman

Glenn “Glen” Lee Twyman, Sr., 76, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia on June 24, 1946, and was the son of the late David Alvin Twyman and Eva Corrine Napper Twyman.
Glen was raised in Harpers Ferry, WV, went to Jefferson County Public Schools, and graduated in 1964 from Harpers Ferry High School, where he played football and basketball. He joined the United States Air Force, following his older brothers, then his heart, serving proudly in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
Glen leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 27 years, Dawna Twyman, and bonus daughter, Alaysia Thornton of Martinsburg; children, Glenn Twyman, Jr. (May) of Martinsburg, Deborah Washington (Frank Thomas) of VA, Wanda Twyman of VA; sisters, Elizabeth Wright and Linda Twyman, both of Harpers Ferry, Marilyn Twyman-Stokes of Fredericksburg, VA, Jennifer Twyman and Florence Derr of Shepherdstown, WV; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Helen Tenny, sisters-in-law, Phyllis Twyman, Shelley Tywman, Veda Tywman, Carla Ferguson, Barbara Ferguson, and Sara Ferguson. Special friend, Mike Allen, whom Glen called his white son; his nephew, Derrick Twyman, who was like a son, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his sisters, Cynthia Twyman and Diane Dozier and his brothers, Alvin, John, David, Minor E. and Paul Twyman.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Pastor Edward Hall officiating.
