Edward H. Walters
Edward “Ted” Henson Walters, 95, of Martinsburg passed away Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 at the Canterbury Center, in Shepherdstown.
He was born March 28, 1927 in Jefferson County. He was the son of the late William L. Walters and Mary Riley (Anderson) Walters.
Edward retired as a Dairy and Beef Cattle Farmer.
He was a member of the Tabler Station Presbyterian Church.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He is survived by his daughters, Joanna McKee, Gail Walters, Sue Miller, Sandra Halbert, all of Martinsburg, son, James Walters, of South Dakota; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and nephew.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Melva E. (Foltz) Walters who passed away on Nov. 13, 2011; son, William M. “Bill” Walters; daughter, Mary Ann Walters; sisters, Willetta Walters, Kathleen Butler and Esther Watson.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022 at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson with Rev. Dr. J. Bradford Langdon officiating.
Interment was in Middleway Masonic Cemetery, in Middleway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabler Station Presbyterian Church, 5623 Tabler Station Road, Inwood, WV 25428.
