Nancy L. Owens

Nancy L. Stephens Owens, 75 previously of Martinsburg, but was living with her sister in Shepherdstown went to be with our Lord on Dec. 28, 2022.

Born on March 11, 1947 to Charles Richard Stephens and Ella Mae Lloyd Stephens of Shepherdstown. Both of whom preceded her in death. Also her sister, Linda Mae Stephens Neff and her husband James Neff of Martinsburg along with another brother in law James Bryan Gifft also of Shepherdstown.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Richard Martin Owens of 40 years where they both resided in Martinsburg until she became ill.

Nancy attended Shepherdstown High School then went to work at the Martinsburg V. A. Hospital commissary for 20 years. She loved her job and enjoyed helping the veterans when they came to shop. She also loved wallpapering and painting which she did with a best friend.

She was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ on Tuscarora Pike.

Nancy is survived by one daughter, Therese Lynn Laing Everett, one grandson Christopher Everett and wife Andrea Everett, one granddaughter Meghan Everett all from Ridgely WV and several nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by one brother Charles Jeffrey Stephens and wife Cheri of Locust Grove, VA. A sister Patti A. Stephens Gifft of Shepherdstown.

Services will be held at the Martinsburg Church of Christ at 9512 Tuscarora Pike , Martinsburg, on Saturday Jan. 28th at 11 a.m. With Pastor Chris Butler officiating.

In lieu of flowers feel free to donate to Martinsburg Church of Christ or Hospice of the Panhandle.

I would like to acknowledge Hospice and all of their staff for doing a great job that takes special people with love, patience, and kindness to handle this very sad and difficult time!
