Helen M. Ringer

Helen Maxine Rudy Ringer, age 91, of Martinsburg, West Virginia went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 8, 2023.

Born Nov. 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Austin O. Rudy and Margaret V. Ellis Rudy.

Helen is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan A. Ringer of Martinsburg, two grandsons, G.W. Ringer III and wife Erica, of Hedgesville, Brian M. Ringer of Martinsburg; and one great-grandson, Jadon M. Kline of Hedgesville. Helen is also survived by a few cousins and some very close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Austin R. Rudy; and her beloved son, George Warren Ringer II.

Helen graduated from Martinsburg High School, Class of 1949. She went on to work at Daily Motors, Interwoven Mills, Citizens National Bank, Shepherd College, and retired from General Motors in Feb. 1995. She was a member for many years of the Second Baptist Church of Martinsburg.

Helen loved her son and family dearly. She would boast to anyone that would listen about her two grandsons. Helen’s smile was contagious, and she loved to tell stories of her past. Stories that will be greatly missed by her family.

Funeral service was held on March 15 at 11 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor David W. Irvin. Interment was held at Rosedale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Second Baptist Church, 911 N. High Street, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
