Henry J. Kramer

Henry J. “Bud” Kramer, 88, formerly of Shepherdstown, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 at the home of his caregivers.

Born Jan. 20, 1935 in Parkersburg, he was the son of the late Henry Matthew Kramer and Mary Virginia Kramer (McCune).

Henry was a school teacher for Jefferson County Schools for thirty years. He also worked part time at Shepherdstown Lumber Company, as well as founded Shepherdstown’s original China Kitchen with his wife, Conchita.

He is survived by his sons, Robert S. “Bubba” Kramer (Kelli), and J.F. Matthew Kramer (Kelley); daughters, Becky Hall, and Brenda Manspeaker (significant other Mark Osborne) . Along with his children he is survived by their mother Betsy Jan Cohen; grandchildren, Hayley, Maggie, Laura, Ava, and Logan; great granddaughter, Arabella Armentrout; brother, Frederick C. Kramer (Rita); sister, Mary Ellen Depue; and several stepchildren, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hui Chu Conchita Kramer; his grandson, Garrett “Dewey” Hall; and brother in-law, John S. Depue.

Interment will be private.

A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date.
