Judith A. Williams

Judith Ann Williams, 76, of Martinsburg, WV passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born June 24, 1946 in Martinsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Coffman and Donna Lee (Mason) Wetzel.

She was a graduate of Musselman High School in the class of 1964. During her years of high school, she was an accomplished trumpet player and served as drum majorette for the Musselman High School Marching Band. She graduated from Shepherd College in 1968 with a Bachelor’s degree in physical education with a minor in Biology. She was a sister of Alpha Sigma Tau. She later attended Shippensburg University and graduated with a Master’s of Psychology. She completed an additional 45 hours towards her Doctorate’s degree of Psychology. She was employed by Berkeley County Schools and spent her 33 year career teaching physical education at Martinsburg South Middle School. She was a cheerleading coach and spent several years as Vice Principal at Martinsburg South Middle School.

She married Roger Bruce Williams at Inwood United Methodist Church on Oct. 17, 1964.

In addition to her husband of 59 years, she is survived by three children, D. Michelle Williams (Frank Kimbro), Christopher Michael Williams (Laura Williams), and Trisha N. Exline (Jamie Exline); six grandchildren, Challice Brieanne LaRose (Ryan LaRose), Zachary Laing (Cameron Laing), Chloe Williams, Quincy Williams, Camden Exline, and Caleb Exline; and three great grandchildren, Eleanora “Ellie” LaRose, Lyle LaRose, and Leon “Lonnie” Laing.

A memorial service will be held at the Gerrardstown United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at 3 p.m. The family will receive guests from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
