Renee M. Silver

Renee M. Elliott Silver, 69, of Martinsburg, passed away Monday, Oct. 16, 2023.

Born Sept. 11, 1954, in Shepherdstown, she was the daughter of the late Robert D. Elliott and Anna Iretta Shockey Elliott.

Renee loved cooking and was in her element when she was in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Lucas Silver (Shana Bowers); daughter, Alison Silver; grandchildren, Alyssa Silver, Isabella “Izzy” Silver, Aubrey Silver, and Camille Walker; brother, Robert “Bobby” Elliott; and sister, Debbie Smith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob L. Silver; brothers, Douglas “Doug” Elliott, Gideon “Gid” Elliott, and Clay Elliott.

Family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service was held Friday, Oct. 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastors Tom and Joyce Snyder officiating.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
