Tyler R. ‘Bug’ Thomas

Tyler Raymond Lee “Bug” Thomas, 22, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born Aug. 9, 2001 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of Brian Thomas and Lesley Wilson and Holly Watson, who raised him.

Tyler worked as a farmhand at Houris Falls, LLC in Shepherdstown, WV. Tyler was an avid fisherman, loved four wheelers guns, music, spending time with his family and best friends, Matt Killen and Davon Johnson. Bug was a hugh momma’s boy.

He is survived by his sisters, Brianna Thomas, at home, Kelsey Wilson of Inwood, Keirsten Walters, Desiree Wooten, McKayla McDonald, and Katelyn Thomas, all of Charles Town, brothers, Zachary Thomas, Travis Long, and Jermane McDonald, all of Charles Town, nieces, Emily White, Hannah Hall, Dakota and Sophia Wilson, nephews, Jackson White, and Isaac Wilson, grandmothers, Deborah Thomas and Vivian Walters, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roger and Deborah Thomas, maternal grandparents, Frederick and Margaret Wilson, sister, Destiny, Faith White and his MaMaw, Darlene White.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Danny Nick officiating.

Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.
