Kimberly J. Sencindiver

Kimberly Jo Sencindiver, 61, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at Inova Fairfax Hospital, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 23, 1962, to Mike Pitzer and Barbara (Cookie) Pitzer, in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
She married Alan Sencindiver at the age of 21, and they would have celebrated their 40th Anniversary on Aug. 25, 2024. She was a lifelong member of Darkesville United Methodist Church and played the organ most Sundays. She was the owner and operator of South Berkeley Beauty Salon in Inwood, WV, for 42 years. She was passionate about her work and building relationships with her customers. She loved flowers and planting her garden, exploring antique shops, and finding hidden treasures, playing her piano, riding bikes along the Potomac River towpath between Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown, and watching old Western movies. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and nieces. Her laugh was contagious and her love for her family was enormous.
Preceding Kimberly in death are her parents Mike and Barbara (Cookie) Pitzer. Kimberly is survived by her husband, Alan Sencindiver; son Joshua Sencindiver, his wife Fernanda, and their children Alexander and Harper; son Benjamin Sencindiver, his wife Hannah, and their children Holland and Boyd; son Eric Sencindiver; brother Michael Pitzer; sister Angela Hurlbrink and her daughters Marley, Presley, and Henley.
