Barbara A. Dell

Barbara Anne Dell, 90 of Martinsburg passed away on March 10, 2024 at home, surrounded by her family.

Born on Nov. 28, 1933 in Glenside, PA she was the daughter of the late Reginald C. and Thelma A. Edson.

Barbara was a Registered Nurse, completing her training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. She was also a graduate of the Shepherd University Regents Bachelor of Arts Program.

She served as a nurse in many care areas including obstetrics at Kings Daughters and City Hospital, camp nurse at Camp Frame 4-H Camp, Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, and teaching Red Cross swimming lessons at War Memorial Park Pool.

She was active in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and in the Al-Anon program.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters: Margaret (Peggy) Dell, Susan Weiberg, and Sandra League; five grandchildren and nine Great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years John A Dell.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
