Charles C. Kerr ‘Bucky’

Charles Calvin Kerr “Bucky” passed away Sunday March 10, 2024 at the age of 63.

He is survived by his wife Shelly Kerr. He is also survived by his three children, Chuck Kerr and wife Candice, Jessie Erickson and husband Noah, Casey Kerr and his stepdaughter Emily Stangle and husband Joshua, along with his precious grandchildren Xavier Kerr and Gabrielle Stangle. Bucky is also survived by his four sisters, Denise Wolf and Jimmy, Sandy Hovermale and Mike, Renee Kesecker and Lynn, and Florie Lucas and Rex, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Bucky was raised in Shepherdstown, WV and completed his auto mechanic certification in Davis County, Utah and then went to serve briefly in the United States Army. Bucky was well known and an award-winning auto body repair/restoration/mechanic, who owned his own shop in Shepherdstown for many years. This was truly one of his passions in life and he continued pursuing this passion till the very end of his life.

Bucky was also very passionate about serving others through his volunteer service at New Life Community Church, The Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission and The Recovery Center.

He was preceded in death by his mother Flo-Raleigh Kerr and father Charles D. Kerr and one brother, Samuel Kerr.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. at New Life Community Church, with Pastor Ryan Parsons officiating. Interment was private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on behalf of Charles “Bucky” Kerr to Recovery Alive at New Life Community Church or to The Martinsburg Union Rescue Mission.
