Cynthia Huesman

May 3, 2024

Cynthia Ann Huesman (maiden name Bowen), 74, of Charles Town, WV passed away from sudden cardiac arrest on Tuesday April 23, 2024.

Born August 5, 1949 in Baltimore, MD Cindy was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ann Bowen (maiden name Veto). She is survived by her husband Gerard Huesman, daughter Kimberly McCaslin, son-in-law Sean McCaslin and her two grandchildren Isla Grace and Owen, along with many other relatives and dear friends.

Cindy achieved her lifelong dream in retirement of becoming an artist and craftsperson. She was well respected in the art community and was a member of many local art groups. She participated in several art shows and her art was hung in several galleries. She was an active member of Saint Agnes church and in the Belair neighborhood community.

Prior to her retirement, Cindy graduated from Towson University and obtained her Masters degree in business administration from Loyola University. Her work career spanned many different fields. She was a teacher at Maryvale and Martin Spalding High School in Baltimore. She worked in a clinical lab at Johns Hopkins and transitioned over to computer programming for the remainder of her working career.

Although her achievements were significant, Cindy’s love for her family was the most important part of her life. Her husband, daughter and grandchildren were the center of her world and were always her priority. Cindy loved teaching her granddaughter her love of art. She loved laughing and cuddling her grandson, talking with her daughter and spending her days with her husband. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at St. Anges Catholic Church, Shepherdstown, WV with Father Mathew Rowgh and Father Andy Switzer as the Celebrants.
