Sherry D. Greenfield

Sherry Dee Greenfield, born Sept. 22, 1965, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Sherry leaves behind her two beloved children, Ryan and Krista Greenfield, whom she loved unconditionally. She also leaves behind her mother, Joyce Greenfield; her brother, Robert “Bob” Greenfield and his wife, Kelli; her sister, Karen Greenfield; and a close group of friends whom she called her family.

Sherry was born in Martinsburg, WV. She graduated from Hedgesville High School in 1983 and Shepherd College in 1985. Soon after, she went to work for the IRS where she devoted 35 years of service. Sherry had a love for traveling, although she never did much of it. She held a special place in her heart for Myrtle Beach, SC and always wanted to go back, but didn’t quite make it… yet! Sherry was a member of Calvary Bible Church and held a strong love and devotion for the Lord, always believing He had a plan for her.

To know Sherry was to have someone in your corner. She was fierce, opinionated, and if she didn’t like something, you were going to know. She had a sense of humor that was untouchable and a quick comeback for everything!

A memorial service for Sherry will be held at Calvary Bible Church on Faulkner Ave in Martinsburg at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024. All are welcome to attend her service to offer a final “see you later” as this is not good-bye.
