Priscilla Mae (Arnold) Deem
Priscilla Mae (Arnold) Deem, 80, of Martinsburg passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. She was in the care of Hospice of the Panhandle and succumbed to cancer.
Priscilla was born on February 18, 1944, to the late Garland “Hap” Arnold and Elsie Mae (Sayger) Arnold in Parsons, West Virginia. She was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Shepherd College. Priscilla was a middle school math teacher. She spent most of her career at Boonsboro Middle School in Washington County, Maryland. She retired in 2003 after more than 30 years of service. In recent years she attended the Unitarian Universalist Church in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Priscilla was an avid gardener. She liked to go treasure hunting for antiques and was a Christmas season enthusiast. She was a member of the Golden Glow Society of Christmas Past. She also enjoyed hosting parties and playing cards with family and friends.
Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. Deem, and her brother, Garry W. Arnold.
She is survived by her children, Bryan J. Ross (Angela) and Pamela M. Hess (Christopher); grandchildren Tiffany Ross (Christopher), Timothy Ross (Brenna), Trenten Ross, Christiana Tamasang-Hess (Anselm), and great-granddaughter Carmen Ross. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Jo Anne Arnold, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services and interment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, the American Cancer Society, and the Martinsburg High School Band Boosters.
