Peggy Ann Smith

Peggy Ann Smith, 74, of Martinsburg, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle and devoted granddaughter, Ashley.

Born November 19, 1949 in Berkeley County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Evers R. Miller and Mary Jane (Largent) Miller.

Prior to her illness, she was employed as a housekeeper at several local hotels.

She is survived by four daughters, Tina Marie Rankin (Andy Shamburg) of Florida, and Melinda A. Smith, of Hedgesville, Melody K. Sharff (Donald) of Martinsburg, and Kimberly Lynn Barron (Jeff) of Martinsburg; 15 grand-children; twenty-three great-grandchildren and another on the way; 2 great great grandchildren; three brothers, Reginald Miller of Shepherdstown, and Timmy Miller and Roy Bud Miller both of Martinsburg; and two sisters, Marie A. Rush of Strausburg, VA, and Debbie K. Luna Sanchez of Martinsburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin Smith; one son, Kevin L. Smith; and one grandson, Kevin Smith, II; one sister, Charlotte French; and two brothers, Paul Miller and Doug Miller.

At the request of Peggy, services and interment will be private.
