It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we, the family, announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and friend Jane Elizabeth See.
Jane Elizabeth See also known as Mama Jane, 87, beloved resident of Kearneysville, WV, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Jefferson Medical Center in Charles Town, WV.
She was born on June 15, 1937, in Shepherdstown, WV. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth Jenkins and the last survivor of 10 siblings.
She was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Shepherdstown, WV, where she worked on the hospitality and the Kitchen Committee. She retired from Badger Powhatan after 44 years of faithful service. After her retirement she became a homemaker doing charity work for the community churches and schools.
Her legacy of love and strength will forever be remembered by those who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She leaves to cherish her many loving and fond memories, her two sons, Arnold See and wife Sunny, Ricky See and wife Jen; four daughters, Bonnie Bell, Sharon (Sherry) Green and husband Patrick, Margaret Mullins and husband Shannon, and Debbie See-Harris and husband Wilson; 18 grandchildren, Natacha Graham, Wayne See, Jason McGill, Jalaine Burrow, Arnette Hall, Arnell See, Brandon Green, Ashley Green, Amber Allen, Jessica Allen, RJ See, Erika Bell, Loreal Forsythe, Sarah Mullins, Emilee Mullins, Anthony Zambrana, Bree Henry, Tabitha Breedon; and 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; very special friends, Betty Newman, Bonnie Thompson, Charlene Roy, Vincent Nelson; her very special cousin, Mary (Toots) Stevenson, niece, Barbara Smith; and host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Eric Bell.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 615 W. Martin St., Martinsburg, WV 25401 with Rev. Jeffrey Berry officiating. The family received friends an hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the church.
Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
