Mary Ann Rogers

Mary Ann Rogers, 86, of Martinsburg, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born June 5, 1938, in Hedgesville, she was the daughter of the late Bernard S. Frye and Maude Marie Dick Frye.

She was a lifelong teacher and administrator having graduated from Shepherd College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education, and her Masters of Arts Degree from John Hopkins University.

She attended Trinity Episcopal Church and lived life one day at a time and lived it to its fullest.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Elliott, who will miss her every day; her stepsons, Joshua Elliott and wife Jennifer, and Robert Lee Elliott, Jr. and wife Mary; stepdaughter, Jennifer Hammond and significant other Dave; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward B. Rogers; and her brothers, George E. Frye, Robert L. Frye, and Richard S. Frye.

Services and interment will be private.

A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at a later date.
