Alfred Wootton

Alfred James “Jim” Wootton, 97, passed away peacefully in Hospice of the Panhandle on March 3, 2025 with his family by his side. He was orn in London, England on August 19, 1927.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Doreen, his 3 daughters Susan Brownsmith, Sharon Greene and Alison Celentano, his 4 grandchildren Martin Brownsmith, Melanie Brownsmith Hutzler, Kaelan Celentano, Aaren Celentano, great grandsons Duncan and Gavin Hutzler.

The memorial service will take place on Monday, March 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Rd., Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.

In lieu of flowers, donations in “Jim’s” memory may be made to the Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
