Eleanor Ann Rickard

Eleanor Ann Rickard, 84, of Shenandoah Junction, WV passed away Monday, March 31, 2025 at the Canterbury Center, Shepherdstown, WV.

Eleanor was born Jan. 29, 1941 in Shenandoah Junction, WV. She was the daughter of the late Harry W. Creamer and Annie Dodge Creamer.

She was a bus driver for Loudoun County, VA public schools. She had a love and talent for many hobbies such as sewing, gardening, farming, antiquing and restoring antique furniture, and loved listening to music and dancing. She was incredibly selfless, strong-willed and sacrificed for the betterment of her children and family. She will always be remembered for her contagious laugh, hard work/work ethic and for putting us before herself.

She is survived by daughters, Tesa Anderegg and husband Scott, of Charles Town, WV, Denise Beans and husband Billy, of Shenandoah Junction, WV, Stephanie Smith and fiancé Toby Mills, of Shenandoah Junction, WV, son, David R. Rickard, Jr. and wife Stephanie, of Winchester, VA; twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Penny Ahalt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ray Rickard, Sr.; sisters, Bertha Braithwaite, Linda Mason, Sylvia Creamer and brother, Steven Creamer.

Friends and family were received from 11:00-1:00 on Thursday, April 3, 2025, with Funeral Services, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Ranson, WV with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.

Interment was in Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, WV.
