Carol Anne Creek

Carol Anne Creek, 81, of Martinsburg, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born June 9, 1944, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Berlin LeHew and Lucy Rosalie Kershner LeHew.

She was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School and went on to attend the WV College of Beauty. Carol was a member of the Independent Bible Church and enjoyed serving as a children’s Sunday School teacher. She worked for Dr. Zelm, Western Electric, and Corning. She also worked at 3M Company until it closed. She often connected with her “3M Girls” to laugh and reflect.

Survivors include her adoring husband of 32 plus years, Gerald “Jerry” David Creek, son, Steven W. Michael and wife, Rayetta of Gerrardstown, Debra D. Bawlick of Aiken, SC, and Jennifer M. Riley and husband, James, of Martinsburg, and step-children David C. Creek and wife, Patricia of Martinsburg; Robin M. Robinson and husband, Diz of Ranson, and Stephany Creek of Martinsburg; nine grandchildren, Brittney, Britton, Jacob, Aaron, Emily, Nicole, Abigail, James, Nathanael, four great-granddaughters; two brothers, David G. LeHew and wife, Sharon of Inwood, and Roger LeHew and his wife, Theresa of Inwood; and one sister, Aleta Eilerman and husband, Bob of The Villages, Florida and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Wayne Michael and beloved brother, Wayne F. LeHew.

Carol had a special connection with her siblings and their spouses. Her home was often filled with laughter whenever they were together. Their faith in Jesus was the stabilizing force.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Independent Bible Church at 2 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025 with Pastor Curt Lowry officiating.
