Garland M. Shackelford

Garland M. Shackelford, better known as Johnny or Shack, 86, of Shepherdstown, WV passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Martinsburg Healthcare Center.

Born March 23, 1939 in Shepherdstown, WV to the late Isabell Shackelford Dusing.

Garland was a graduate of Shepherdstown High School class of 1958, he was a member of the Shepherdstown High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was an Air National Guard Veteran. His hobbies included traveling, golfing and helping relatives.

He is survived by his sons, Paul and John Shackelford; and brothers, Robert, and Wilbur Dusing.

In addition to his mother, Garland was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Reyer; and brother, Glenwood Dusing.

Services and interment will be private.
