Nicholas Salvatore Gulizia

Nov 26, 2025

Nicholas Salvatore Gulizia, 21, of Morgantown, WV, passed away in Morgantown on November 9, 2025.

He was born in Murietta, CA (2003) to Don and Stacie Gulizia, on December 4, 2003. Even since his difficult childbirth he has fought, survived, and eventually thrived. He was the easiest baby and coolest kid. As a Navy Brat, Nick attended schools in Washington, Virginia, and West Virginia before going to work in the trades. Nick was absolutely brilliant; always seeking knowledge. He read everything he could get his hands on and could teach himself how to do anything. But the classroom was too confined and working in the trades allowed him to work in new locations with new challenges every day. He loved getting dirty, fixing and building things. He had a strong work ethic and worked extremely hard. He was talented, funny, creative, resourceful, resilient, generous and kind. He would give you the shirt off his back freely without needing recognition.

Nicky Baby was a beloved son and was doted on by his big sister and brother. They loved him fiercely. He looked up to them and cheered for them. He brought joy and laughter to our ever-moving family. He entertained us with his high jinks, humor, music, art, and adventurous spirit. He became fast friends with his brother-in-law, who became his chosen brother. He was a loving uncle and would drive 566 miles round-trip just to hold his niece.

Nick met his love and best friend Kyleigh while in high school. When she moved back home to Morgantown, he quickly followed. He loved her deeply. He also loved her Nana and her siblings as if they were his own. The Nestor family grieves this loss deeply because of their love for Nick.

Nick had a love for animals. His dog Trino is with him now, still supporting him. Tanner and Trixie are with him as well. He was also loved by Tessa, Tatum and Rueben.

Nick was protective with whom he created friendships. But those that he did let in, he loved with all of his heart and supported all their successes with them, with no envy, only love. He met Joshua and Marcus when we moved to Amaranth Court. They quickly became inseparable. Nick also had friends in Oak Harbor, WA, Shepherdstown and Morgantown, WV. Friendships like these are so precious and very hard to come by.

Lastly, Nick was the most passionate person we have ever known. By that, if he was interested in something, he would learn everything he could. Everyone who knew Nick knew how much he loved skateboarding, music, art, fishing, surfing, camping and studying physics.

Nicholas was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anita Troyer; great-grandfather, Sam Gulizia; great-grandmother, Katherine Wells Carranze, uncle, Randy Wells, and cousin, Emily Blazejewski.

He is survived by his parents, Don and Stacie Gulizia; his sister & brother-in-law, Jessica Gulizia Robb & Henry Robb, his brother Jacob Gulizia; his niece, Isla Robb; and his girlfriend Kyleigh Nestor and her family; his grandparents Don and Nancy Gulizia, his great-grandmother, Marie Gulizia; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

A tribute to his life will be celebrated on January 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Riverfront Park in Shepherdstown, WV where loved ones will gather to honor his memory and joyfully share stories of his life through laughs and tears. Reception to follow.
