Saving healthcare is a matter of concern for all West Virginians
Save our healthcare.
It was chanted loud and clear throughout the streets of Shepherdstown on Sunday – and for good reason.
As a woman with illnesses, I’m worried. As a woman in general, I’m worried.
It made me proud to see so many people marching through Shepherdstown and pleading for their voices to be heard.
I was also surprised by the turn out, because I’ve seen the people of Shepherdstown and there are a lot of women and elderly. Both groups need to raise their voices and demand that we won’t be charged an arm and a leg for birth control or inhalers.
Shepherdstown is a small place, but with artists and musicians who can spread awareness and seek change through their work.
Awareness can bring change.
Save our healthcare – it’s more than a chant.
