Club gives nod to Doyle

By Staff | Oct 8, 2010

I am a recent immigrant to Jefferson County, and I come here from the City of Charleston in West Virginia’s Kanawha Valley.

I wanted to let folks in this area know that the WV Chapter of Sierra Club endorses John Doyle because of his long record of support for clean water and clean air for ALL West Virginians.

While I lived in Charleston, I met your Delegate from the 57th District.

At the time I was lobbying him on behalf of sludge safety legislation.

John began a discussion with me on the needs of the Eastern Panhandle, such as improved remuneration for teachers and for state employees. (I now know from personal experience that it is much more expensive to live in Charles Town than it is to live in Charleston.)

The needs of the Eastern Panhandle are quite different from those of Southern West Virginia. We can easily be overlooked unless we have an experienced incumbent with a proven record of success. John has worked hard and kept his promises to his constituents. Let’s send him back to Charleston in January.
