Nov. 26 – Free metered parking throughout Town

10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Stores open serving “sips and sweets;” Shepherdstown Men’s Club “Christmas Bazaar” downstairs at the War Memorial Building on German Street

5 – 8 p.m. Kiwanis chili and cornbread supper with baked goods on the second floor of the War Memorial Building on German Street; Bonfire and s’mores on King Street (sponsored by the Shepherdstown Fire Department); Chestnuts roasting in front of the Shepherdstown Public Library

5:30 p.m. The Grinch makes his appearance along with Mrs. Santa and the “Whoville” residents

6 – 7 p.m. German Street closed to traffic from Church to Princess streets

6:15 p.m. Mrs. Santa reads Christmas stories on the wall at McMurran Hall

6:30 p.m. Annual holiday welcome by Mayor Jim Auxer on McMurran lawn

7 p.m. Santa and his elves entertain families inside McMurran Hall.

6 – 11 p.m. Shepherdstown Music and Dance Contra Dance at the War Memorial Building. Beginners’ class at 6:00 p.m. Dance begins at 7:30 p.m. All welcome, and wear soft-soled shoes.
