Obama hasn’t changed tactics

By Staff | Jan 7, 2011

When he was still halfway through his first term as a U.S. senator, President Obama (peace be upon him) stated that the surge in Iraq would not work.

He has since admitted it did work and has adopted the same strategy in Afghanistan, along with his predecessor’s choice for commanding general. In fact, with the exception of divulging an exit date, President Obama (peace be upon him) has not changed any of the war strategies of his predecessor in office.

When he was a presidential candidate, President Obama (peace be upon him) vowed to close Guantanamo as a prison for “suspected” foreign terrorists.

Guantanamo is still open and President Obama (peace be upon him) has recently admitted that there are detainees in Guantanamo who cannot ever be released, but will be incarcerated indefinitely.

Anyone want to bet how long it will take until President Obama (peace be upon him) admits that civilian trials on U.S. soil are not feasible as a means of trying detainees?
