Panhandle needs big voter turnout

By Staff | May 6, 2011

The Eastern Panhandle needs a large voter turnout. Because the election is being held on a Saturday it is a growing concern that there may be a low turnout. Let’s remember that Eastern Panhandle voters can make Charleston realize that we are important to this state. We want to be treated with respect and we want representation that understands the concerns of the Eastern Panhandle.

If we vote in large numbers during the special election, a message will go forth that the Eastern Panhandle citizens are not willing to suffer in silence any longer, When voter turnout numbers become large and strong enough we will see more money for school, roads, water, state parks and more.

We should demand representation to the State Board of Education and the Public Service Commission as the Eastern Panhandle should be represented on all boards that set regulations or allocate money.

So I urge all citizens to vote, send a message to Charleston…our time has come!

Please vote.
