Good Shepherd gives thanks
Good Shepherd Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers would like to thank our community for making the third annual Spaghetti Dinner a great success. The dinner was attended by approximately 200 guests, enjoying fresh hot spaghetti, meat balls, salad, bread, coffee, tea and desert. Many thanks to our wonderful Good Shepherd Caregiver volunteers who gave a hand, along with our staff and Board of Directors, preparing, serving and spreading cheer throughout the night. Who can forget the wonderful deserts provided by our volunteers, calories not needed but enjoyed!
Special thanks to our sponsors for this event; Black Dog Coffee, King’s New York Pizza, La Trattoria Italian Eatery, LeMezzaluna Cafe, McDonald’s, Panera Bread, Rohrer’s Meats, Shepherdstown Sweet Shop and the Shepherdstown Fire Department. THANK YOU!
Good Shepherd Caregivers provides a vital service to our community by providing non medical services to senior citizens and those who are homebound. Our primary service is providing rides to various appointments throughout the area. We are in critical need of drivers to help meet the needs of those around us, particularly those willing to drive for dialysis patients, a life or death situation for many. If you can spare one or two hours a month to drive one of our clients please give us a call at 304-876-3325.
Thanks again to all who attended the dinner and look forward to seeing you at our next fundraiser, Potters Bowl, to be held Saturday, Mar. 2, at the fire hall. Come enjoy a great bowl of soup!!
