Call for votes for Robertson

By Staff | May 30, 2014

I am writing in support of Lori Robertson, who is running for Shepherdstown Town Recorder. There is no better qualified person for the job! Take a look at the facts:

In 2008 Lori was first elected to the Shepherdstown Town Council

In 2010 Lori was elected Town Recorder

From 2010 to the present, Lori has proudly served as Town Recorder, working closely with our Mayor Auxer.

As a member of the Town Council, Lori has NEVER missed a meeting. She also serves on the following committees here in town:

Parking Committee, Parks and Rec Committee, Personnel Committee, Planning Commission, Police Committee, Shepherdstown Bike Path Advisory Committee (Chair) Tree Commission (Chair). In 2008, Lori established (and continues to maintain) the Princess St. Urban Garden; in 2009 she conceived of and spearheaded the 480 Bike Path to Morgan’s Grove Park, with grant approval in 2014. Since 2010, Lori has served as a member of the Shepherdstown Day Care Board. Also in 2010 – along with Frank Welch, she applied for and received a Jefferson County recycling grant for the purchase of recycling receptacles on German St. Lori serves as President of Shepherdstown Street Fest, and served on the Steering Committee for the Shepherdstown 250th Celebration. Lori devised and facilitated the planting of 3100+ daffodil bulbs along German Street, and planted crepe myrtles and irises on Princess St. She researched and spearheaded the purchase of the Dogi-Pots.

AND–if that isn’t enoughLori is Cindy Lou Who during Christmas in Shepherdstown!!

I can’t imagine a more competent, dedicated and energetic individual. Please join me on June 3 as I cast my vote for Lori Robertson for Town Recorder.

Thank you,

Elizabeth F. McGowen
