We are writing this letter in support of Dave Springer for the position of town Recorder. We have known Dave since 2007, when we purchased the family home here. Since that time, he has become a valued neighbor and trusted friend. Even with a busy schedule of meetings of various town organizations and committees, he always has time to help neighbors with painting fences, yard cleanup and other projects.

Over the years, Dave has made a strong, positive impact on the Town of Shepherdstown through his volunteer involvement with such unique community events as the Pack Horse Ford river crossing, Streetfest and just recently, the cleanup of the Shepherd Family Cemetery.

It has been through Dave’s encouragement and his membership on the Town Council, the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, Public Works Committee and the Police Committee, that we, along with all the residents of Shepherdstown, have benefited in many ways from Dave’s hard work, dedication and good judgment.
