Rams raising money to make it to the Big Apple
The School of Music has planned a five-day cultural trip to New York City in March 2020. It’s an exciting opportunity for our music students to experience opera at the Metropolitan Opera, jazz at the Cotton Club and “Chicago” on Broadway–not to mention the sight-seeing and cultural experiences that New York has to offer.
Experiences like this can be inspirational and transformational for young music students.
To help bring down the cost of the trip for our students, the School of Music and Shepherd University Foundation are engaged in a campaign to raise funds to support our students on this trip. Two generous donors have stepped forward, each contributing $3,000 in matching funds for the trip for a total of $6,000. For the first $6,000 contributed to our campaign, these generous donors will match it. So, when someone donates $50, it becomes $100. If someone donates $200, it becomes $400.
This is where Shepherd’s community and alumni all come in! You can contribute and share our fundraising effort with people in your networks – friends, family and colleagues, at www.givecampus.com/schools/ShepherdUniversity/rams-in-the-big-apple/.
And remember, no contribution is too small. Every little bit helps!
Thank you for helping make this valuable experience possible for these students!
