I would like to take this opportunity to recognize a young citizen of our community, Indie Asam.

Recently, Indie celebrated her eighth birthday with a party, including many of her school and church friends. Indie’s request, in lieu of presents, was that her guests bring nonperishable food items or hygiene products to be donated to Jefferson County Community Ministries in Charles Town.

Indie’s friends and their parents responded in an impressive way, by bringing donations of more than 150 pounds of food and hygiene supplies to JCCM in December, right before Christmas.

Thank you so very much, Indie, her friends and their parents, for all of your loving, giving, generous, kind hearts. May we all aspire to the same level of goodness!
