Library grateful for community’s patience, support
The Jefferson County Public Libraries would like to extend our gratitude to our communities for their patience during this stressful and unusual time. We want you to know that we have missed you immensely and can’t wait until we can finally welcome you back!
The resumption of services will be gradual and careful, beginning with “no-contact” service, and with close attention paid to Governor Justice’s orders and to the COVID-19 situation in our area. We have come up with a tentative phased reopening, with the understanding that if the situation worsens, we may have to backtrack. Each library will announce and follow its own schedule, so please watch our social media and the newspapers for updates.
Thank you for your patience and remember — you’re wearing a mask to protect others, so be safe and be kind to your community!
Hali Taylor, Shepherdstown Public Library director
