People have been asking me who to vote for school board in Jefferson County. I have reviewed websites, forums and Facebook pages. There is one candidate who stands out to me, Donna Joy!

From my research, I found this woman to have exceptional credentials. First and foremost, she’s a mother. This mother has obtained multiple college degrees in special education, math and research.

Donna has worked as a college professor, K-12 teacher, special education teacher, mental health counselor, community volunteer and a Civil Rights activist. She has already written a children’s book for online teaching, too, called “Shaneo dances with the sun.”

Overall, Donna does great work that betters West Virginia’s families. But she’s not big-headed. Instead, she’s humble, kind and a down-to-earth human being. Don’t believe me? I challenge you to watch the recorded forums, listen to the radio shows and talk to this lady for yourself.

If you want Jefferson County schools to gain an advocate that will do what it takes to bring the district up to the neighboring counties school standards, vote for Donna Joy.
