Keeping up the good fight

By Staff | Oct 30, 2020

Please wear masks, practice social distancing and good hygiene.

The COVID-19 virus continues to threaten our wonderful community with serious and deadly challenge. We must unite in our efforts to survive the pandemic by continuing to be caring, cautious and vigilant in our struggle to keep our community healthy and safe. We should show the love we feel for our loved ones, friends, neighbors and all living things, by being kind, patient and compassionate to each other.

As the national election approaches, we must remain civil and courteous. We must not be pulled apart, but continue to pull together. Please vote — it’s our right and duty.

One more thing — thanks to Shepherd University, the Shepherdstown Community Club, Shepherdstown Shares, our fire department, the Lions Club, Jefferson County Community Ministries, our police department, dedicated town employees and other nonprofits and volunteers (sign and mask makers and meal providers) who are a positive presence in our beloved and historic community.
