A place for plants, pollinators and people
Congratulations to the Shepherdstown Community Club for reviving the Back Alley Garden Tour & Tea! The gardens and the people of our community were beautiful and welcoming at this year’s event.
We would like to thank the community club for including the Garden Stewards of the Shepherdstown Public Library on the tour. With the generous support of Elise Baach and Jan Hafer, we were able to host an open house at Evolve, to show the designs and plans for the Habitat Gardens and Landscape for the new library.
Our friends in the Shenandoah Garden Club helped build excitement and visitation to the open house, with their spectacular “Art in Bloom” show. They graciously donated the unique arrangements to benefit the library gardens. We were especially happy to see visitors of all ages appreciate the creativity of the floral designers.
As we continue to grow and pollinate the Habitat Gardens and Landscape Project, we are grateful for everyone who visited the open house, made donations and volunteered to help with this new community project, to make the Shepherdstown Public Library a place for plants, pollinators and people.
