Remembering March is Women’s History Month

By Staff | Mar 24, 2023

It’s March 17 when I write this, which means that the 31 days set aside for Women’s History Month are already half-way over.

I prefer to call this Women’s Future Month, especially in these times. We need all the optimism and forward-thinking energy we can get about the future for women in America! My theme for the next couple of months in the Hot Button Gallery includes my art and articles on reproductive rights and gender, as well as parenting in a time of unlimited and legal guns and ammo.

The Hot Button Gallery is located at 129 West German Street here in Shepherdstown, at the corner of German Street and Princess Street. I just hung up a lighted sign in front of the gallery yesterday, so you have no excuse for not being able to find it! Or, just look for the German Street storefront window with the uterus surrounded by thorns from my honey locust tree, and you can be sure you’re in the right place.

I’m at the gallery every single weekend, for as long as it takes: Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.-ish. I hope to see you there!
